Ok, let's say you're at a baseball game. The batter hits into a double play, but the pitcher catches the relay throw from the second baseman. However the umpire STILL calls the runner out! I just described a real play from the Texas-Seattle game just the other day. If the umpires at that game had gone to use instant replay on that play, that runner would've been safe. My point? MLB NEEDS INSTANT REPLAY! The NFL and NBA both use it on questionable calls, so why doesn't the MLB? The MLB does use it on home run calls, so why not expand it? Maybe they can try what the NFL does and give the managers some sort of "challenges" to use on a blown call. All the umps would need to do is: 1. Get together in their replay room 2. Take 30 seconds to look at the play in question 3. Return to the field to make the correct call In fact, I think that's what ALL sports should do, not just MLB.
